Product Line Engineering and Model Based Engineering Join forces: Recent Industry Reports

  • Product Line Engineering (PLE) has emerged as a game-changing engineering paradigm for enabling competitive advantage through the reduction of complexity, efficient management of variation, and automation of production across an entire product line portfolio. BigLever’s PLE tools and methods enable a unified featured-based approach across the full lifecycle from portfolio planning, to systems and software engineering, product definition, manufacturing, sales, and service. Providing a “single source of feature truth” enables a holistic view into the feature variations for a product family — eliminating the need for different variant management mechanisms in multiple tools, facilitating better interoperability across teams, and improving cross-functional alignment between engineering and operational roles.
